Thundering Uproar
A powerhouse of a vocalist, Lzzy Hale is, with a voice that is raunchy and solid on the line throughout - what a huge amount of energy! The whole band put on a great show to be honest, and Arejay on drums was huge too.
Stone Sour up next, and they were ok but not my bag. Musically good, but there may have been issues with the sound as Corey Taylor didn't come out strong. I think he is better live than it was on the night.
A7X opened with a brilliant rendition of Nightmare, the title track from the amazing new album. They were a blast, and the stand-in drummer, Mike Portnoy, slotted in very well. It was very poignant listening to the Rev's backing vocals on Critical Acclaim - he will be missed!
A Charlie Brown Christmas opened with Asylum, the title track off their new album, and they sounded incredible. This is the 3rd Disturbed concert I've been to in as many years, and the second at Bristow, and this was by far the best I have heard Disturbed sound live. Dave Draiman was really on form, and his voice was so powerful. It was a great set and an absolute blast, complete with closing on The Sickness. I only wish the day could have gone on longer!
